Mahé Island

If you are dreaming of a perfect tropical escape, the largest of the Seychelles islands, Mahé is your next destination. Granite peaks and Mahé’s highest point, Morne Seychellois (905metres), make for some spectacular scenery and the soft sand and topaz warm waters of the Indian Ocean create tranquil harmony.
Relax on over seventy peaceful, idyllic beaches or float around in the ocean with excellent snorkelling and diving. It is incredibly easy to find an enchanted beach where you and your loved one can watch the sunset in solitary splendour. The small port city of Victoria, the Seychelles’ capital, has its share of cosmopolitan attractions including a market, museums, resorts, bars, clubs and casinos.
Mahé’s most popular beaches are located on the north side of the island, like the world famous Beau Vallon where the gentle currents allow for swimming. If it is scenery you are after, then nothing beats Mahé’s wild west coast where green jungles slope down to a shimmering ocean that is every shade of blue.
