For the Discerning Nature Enthusiast

The lush expanses of Wasgamuwa, where dry and wet zone intermingle, derives from the Sinhalese words ‘WalasGomuwa’ which translate to ‘Woods of Bear’, for its once prevalent population of sloth bear. It is in this sanctuary, set amidst the lush expanses of Wasgamuwa, between the majestic Knuckles mountain range and the great Mahaweli River that Far Cry offers a serene haven for the discerning nature enthusiast. The lodge is located 25km from Wasgamuwa National Park and is a convenient juncture to a number of neighbouring attractions. Here, nature and tradition are just as much a part of your getaway as a luxurious stay, intermingled with rustic charm and gracious hospitality.

Accomodation

In each of FarCry’s 6 air-conditioned rooms, rustic allure mingles at ease with modern comforts. The rooms entail a king sized bed, LED flat screen with cable TV, electronic safe and tea/coffee makers.

Designed as much for couples as groups, the rooms are equipped with comfy fold out futons. Two of the rooms feature 4 single beds each and are ideal for family vacationers.
