Location

Situated on the north coast of Mauritius, in Kalodyne, close to the fishermen’s village of Grand Gaube and 30 kilometres from the capital of Port Louis, this 4 star hotel is a “hymn” to Mauritius.

Inspired by Mauritian Traditional Bungalows

In Creole language Zilwa means “islander”. Zilwa Attitude is different and unique with its Mauritian concept and invites all guests to discover the legendary authenticity of this little paradise. The contemporary rustic-chic design and Mauritian architecture of the hotel take their source of inspiration from the traditional bungalows. The charming holiday homes lined along the beach, with thatch, tin or shingle roofs, wax-polished “béton ciré” floors, rough walls, bright colours and other material are reminders of an islander’s typical way of life.

Accommodation

The 214 rooms at Zilwa have been thought and designed to match your individual needs and expectations; in each category, the rooms have their own Mauritian identity and personality. A pair of traditional Dodo flip flops, are waiting in your room, they are ideal to walk around the hotel and the country! When you wear them you will feel like a real “zilwa” (islander).
